Rebrov is rumoured to be nearing a switch to Arsenal before the January transfer window closes. 2million is said to be the figure involved. Arsenal are tonight emerging as a shock candidate to take Sergei Rebrov off the hands of Tottenham for good. Rebrov has been through hell since Glenn Hoddle took charge at Spurs, many saying hes never been given the chance to prove his true value.

Wenger is a known admirer of Rebrov, Arsenal being one of the clubs desperate to attain his services when playing for Dynamo Kiev. Rebrov has also made no secret of the fact that he'd glady follow Sol Campbell to nearby Highbury.

Rebrov was on the verge of signing for Fulham this week, until agent Sandor Varga quashed the deal claiming to be worried of the long term future of the club, on the brink of the relegation zone with Jean Tigana tipped to be sacked soon.

Spurs are looking for a quick sale on Rebrov to bring in transfer listed Michael Ricketts and maybe even more before the transfer window closes. This would mean a bid of 2million would be acceptable for Spurs to let Arsenal disscuss terms with 28yr old Rebrov.

If this happens to be true, it will surely lead to a nail biting time for Spurs fans ahead of the next North London derby, incase some old ghosts come back to haunt them.
