The current rumour doing the rounds is that of Steve Carr's apparent certain transfer to hated rivals Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger has always been a strong fan of Carr's and is said to be preparing a 13million pound deal for the January deadline.
However there is a twist to this deal, Spurs will only sell Carr to Arsenal if they (Spurs) sign Lee Bowyer - Arsenal being the only other strong rivals for his signature.
Even if Bowyer is signed, Carr's transfer to Arsenal will still spark fury amongst the Tottenham faithful after the Sol Campbell saga of two seasons ago.
Other potential replacements for Carr are Nottingham Forest's David Prutton who Pleat has watched several times and is touted as 'the new Gerrard'
