Usually i'm not a big better when it comes to football friendlies, but as it's Steve McClarens first game in charge, i think we're gunna be up for it tonight. We've been helped with the fact that we know macca's team, which is: Wednesday 16th August 2006 - Kick off 20:05 - Live on BBC1.

With Hargreaves holding in the centre of midfield, you'd expect Lampard to enjoy a chance to get forward more in an England team that see's Gerrard replacing the dropped Becks on the right of midfield.

But for me, with Gerrard and Downing working the flanks, i can see alot of decent balls being put into our box, and Crouchy (7/1 with Laddies) looks cracking value. And with the same firm, you can get 9/5 on Crouchy scoring any time during the 90 minutes.

Our boy Defoe, who must feel he has something to prove after his World Cup disappointment is 6/1 to open the scoring, and 7/4 to score at any time. Again both with Laddies.

At the other end of the pitch, Englands Number One will be hoping for a shut out, and he's 5/6 with Paddy Power for this to happen.
