No reason for Kimi to leave - Hakkinen

Former double F1 champion has added his opinion to the ongoing uncertainty of who will be where in 2007. The Finn believes there is no reason Kimi should ditch McLaren for another team - which hot rumours say could be Ferrari or Renault.

Hakkinen said "During my career in F1 I received many offers to join other teams, but I did what was right. I committed myself to McLaren and had faith in the team that we could do it, and we did." During a very loyal period to the team from 1993 to 2001, Mika won two drivers World Chamionships in 1998 and 1999, before the Michael Schumacher/Ferrari domination era began.

Hakkinen is confident his fellow countryman can be champion saying that it may take a while, but he woll win it.
