McLaren qualified 2nd and 4th on the grid and were hoping for a shot at the win. They got it...but in a wierd way. After a red flag ended the race just after Fisi passed Kimi, Kimi was deemed the winner by the 2 lap rule. Not the idea way to win a race...but it's a win none the less. There are already those saying that Fisi would have won if the race had gone on. Hard to believe seeing as how his engine burst into flame about 20 seconds later, but hey...it could have happened.

The fact is McLaren did exactly what they were supposed to do. The started out 2nd and 4th, and finished 1st and 4th. Job well done.

Dissappointment in a big way once again for Rubens Barrichello, who after passing David seemed to be driving off into the sunset. It was not to be however, as just a lap and change later, his Ferrari pulled over to the side. Tough break for Rubens, who has twice been in possition to win his home GP and has come up short.

McLaren extends its lead in the Drivers and Constructors titles with neither Ferrari finishing the race, and neither Williams scoring a point.

McLaren had hoped to come out of the first three races with a podium and a few points...we come out of it with 3 victories. Well done McLaren!
