In the last group test of the 2008 pre-season testing, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes formula one driver Lewis Hamilton, topped the timesheets at Barcelona today. Throughout the day, the team were testing new aerodynamic parts brought from the McLaren Technology Centre, ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, McLaren are looking strong, with Lewis finishing on top of the timesheets.

With just seventeen days to go until the start of the 2008 formula one season in Melbourne, Australia, all the teams except Super Aguri took part in the group test today. McLaren drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen, finishing in first and fifth places respectively. The team tried a new front wing and rear wing today.

Newly crowned world champion Kimi Raikkonen and seven times world champion Michael Schumacher, were in action for the Scuderia Ferrari team today. With the pair separated by just one tenth of a second, Raikkonen ended up the faster of the two, though it wouldn’t surprise me if Michael was the true faster of the two.

The Williams duo of Kazuki Nakajima and Nico Rosberg, ended the day in 4th and 6th places, with former world champion Fernando Alonso finished in 7th place, 8 tenths of a second shy of the pace setter Hamilton.
