The brother of seven times world champion Michael Schumacher, ended his three year career with the Toyota team this year, after he brought the team seventy world championship points and one pole position. So far McLaren hasn't said who will be driving next years MP4-23 with runner up Lewis Hamilton.

The thirty two year old German isn't likely to get the job at McLaren, as his performances over the last three years have been far from spectacular. Dispite this, Ralf belives that he still good enough to get the second drive at McLaren.

"Of course, but the first fact is that, until now, there has been no contact between myself and McLaren,"

Nico Rosberg is unlikely to get the drive either. Williams team boss Frank Williams has stated to the press that he will not release Rosberg to a drive at McLaren.

Jenson Button and Adrian Sutil appear to have dropped out of the running, which leaves Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffet for the McLaren seat. Expect the announcement of McLaren's driver line up to happen around the time of the launch of the MP4-23.
