The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes have completed the second day of testing at the Barcelona circuit in eastern Spain. Test and reserve driver Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffett were testing for the British team today. Pedro ended the day 2nd, as Gary finished the day in 5th place, just under a second behind seven time world champion Michael Schumacher.

Seven time world champion Michael Schumacher finished the second day of testing at the Barcelona circuit fastest, for the second day in succession. The German completed a best time of 1:21.922, in this years championship winning F2007.

He was followed by McLarens test and reserve driver Pedro de la Rosa, who finished the day 0.4 seconds behind Michael. Pedro and Gary were working on preparations for the 2008 season. Ferrari’s Felipe Massa finished the day fourth, six tenths of a second behind his former team mate.

DTM driver Gary Paffett finished an impressive 5th a couple of tenths behind Paffet in the MP4-22. William’s Nico Rosberg finished the day in 6th place, nine tenths of as second shy of Michael. David Coulthard in the Red Bull and Nick Heidfeld finished in 7th and 8th places respectively.

Kazuki Nakajima finished in a very respectable 9th position seven tenths of a second behind his more experienced team mate. Sebastian Vettel in the Toro Rosso ended the second day in an impressive 10th place.
