By Sam Cooper
May 3 2007

Today Fernando got to try out the updated MP4-22 at Barcelona on a dry track, and finished 5th out of 11, but he was a full second behind pace setter, Felipe Massa.

All the attention was on McLaren and Fernando though, as the Spanish fans wanted to get a glimpse of their hero. The team had a better day today than yesterday, the team decided to use today to go through aero upgrades as well as getting a good set up for the Spanish grand prix.

Fernando got through seventy three laps of the Spanish Circuit, and suffered no major problems, from what we can gather, Fernando had no problems today, which is a good sign.

The same can’t be said for the days testing at other teams, a few laps in to Nico Rosberg’s day, he smashed into the barrier causing extensive damage that caused the team to abandon their plans to test tomorrow, Nico is unharmed, modern safety systems work wonders.

Testing times will be shown below.
