Practice 1: 2nd and 3rd

The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team finished practice one a very strong 2nd and 3rd place, 3 tenths behind Ferrari, McLaren had no problems in the session.

Fernando managed to finish his flying lap in just 1:35.220, while his younger team mate finished his best lap in 1:35.712, however, we do not know what fuel levels, which both drivers were carrying. For all we know they could have been on a high fuel load.

The first practice session only brought out one yellow flag which didn’t really effect the running at all.

Despite many weather forecasts suggesting that rain was coming, the track was bone dry.
