With traction control being banned for next season 2008, formula one may well become a more interesting place next season, but at the cost of cutting edge technology.

So, does the FIA or Ferrari international assistance, want to turn Formula One into formula boring

The cost cutting excuse is a good one to say the least, but can this transformation from the best sport in the world to be turned into something boring like bowles, or watching paint dry? The sad thing is, the FIA are closer than you think, but what can be done?

With traction control gone, that may very well be a good thing as less driver aids will highlight the drivers skill, so F1 may take a few years back in time, and the racing was good then, so things are looking up

The bad thing to these new 08 rules is that you or me- providing that we’ve got a few million to buy a f1 chassis- we can! So teams like super Aguri, Spyker, Williams and torro rosso may well all be running our McLaren Mp4-23’s? Or Ferrari’s f2008’s. This can be very bad!

Although it will be good for David Richards, who plans to buy everything he needs and then run a f1 team on that, if he scores points that way, it will turn into a more efficient champ car series but for the whole world. F1 was the highlight of racing technology, and that needs to stay. By having customer cars, the FIA’s (or the flaming international anti-racing society’s), ideas are ruining the sports nature, its ripping the soul out of F1, and this needs to be stopped, at once.

We may not rule F1, but we are the fans, getting rid of customer cars may be a good thing, to save the sport, at the expense of billions. I know which I’d prefer, and its going to cost the teams, a lot of money.
