Disappointing Finish To Sepang Tests

Unfortunately the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes ended their final day of testing in Malaysia, on a very low note, finishing 8th and last.

Hamilton completed just 43 laps of the circuit, while Pedro completed just 24 laps. Having to share a car isn’t the best of options, but it cuts down on the testing the team can physically do, and therefore cutting costs.

Its sad that the sport has come to this, but there’s nothing much we can do about it, without risking the increasing the costs of the races.

Renaults Hekki Kovalainen managed to prove all the doubters wrong by finishing first at the final day, surely boosting Renault’s hopes of a win in Malaysia. Honda’s Jenson Button beat Lewis Hamilton in the problem ridden RA107 which featured new parts.
