Fernando Alonso is very happy with the new MP4-22, the Spaniard reported that the new car has good pace- as we can see from Fernando’s testing times- and the reliability from the car was excellent. Fernando isn’t bothered about the times he’s worried about is the reliability of the new car.

"It's going really well at the moment," Alonso told reporters in Valencia. "But this is just the preseason. The situation can change at any time when another team is finding something to make their car faster. Fortunately we don't have a lot of mechanical problems. The problems we had we caused ourselves to see how the car would react to them. It's a great sign that we have so little problems and that's why I'm so happy with our reliability."

"After the first race we will know where we stand in terms of our pace, but its still to early to predict where a team such as Ferrari is standing compared to Mclaren."

So will Fernando win next year?

I think he will, he certainly isn't slow, and Mclarens reliability has taken a U turn towards success, and maybe their races will do the same.
