In the fifth game of the first set Jankovic breaks for a 3-2 lead but she could not hold her own serve hitting two double faults. Krasnoroutskaya saves her service game after trailing 30-40 and two-time advantage for Jankovic. With a little help from the net Krasnoroutskaya is on advantage. Jankovic comes back to deuce but now the net is helping the Serbian player. When Jankovic hits a ball wide Krasnoroutskaya delivers a good serve for 4-3.

Jankovic lost her serve on 15-40 and the Russian 8th seed has a 5-3 lead but does not hold her serve to win the set. On 30-40 in the 10th game Jankovic sees a dropshot going wide giving Krasnoroutskaya the set 6-4.

In the second set Lina Krasnoroutskaya broke Jelena Jankovic’ resistance and she is leading 5-0. Jankovic is able to rub away the 0 on the scoreboard in the 6th service game. On 40-0 Lina Krasnoroutskaya holds her own serve and wins the second set 6-1.

Krasnoroutskaya will meet the winner of the match Pierce vs. Kremer in the semi-final.
