Serna and Molik pick up pace in Budapest

Second seed Magui Serna and third seed Aussie Alicia Molik powered their way into the semi-finals easing past their opponents in WTA Grand Prix at Budapest The Spaniard struggled in the last round against qualifier Katalin Marosi but was totally incontrol throughout the clash against the Hungarian Petra Mandula beating her 6-1, 6-2

Jelena Jankovic reached this stage thanks to Iva Majoli pulling out with a virus couldn't consolidate on that good fortune and lost to Maria Antonia Sanchez-Lorenzo 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and Alicia Molik beat Slovakia's Jarmila Gajdosova 6-4, 6-3. Ludmila Cervanova reached the semi-final by beating Iveta Benesova 7-5, 6-3 and is playing well on clay at the moment.
