That’s just 1 point out of the last 9 for Mark Wright’s men. Lets hope that this is our bad patch over and we can return to normal service when the Conference continues after the break for the FA Cup.

The fixture saw City winger Jon Brady return to his old club for the first time since moving. Wayne Brown regained his place after being on the substitutes bench for the Gravesend game.

Both teams were poor in the first half and few chances were created by both sides. Jon Brady saw two free kicks curl wide and Ryan Sugden had a chance smothered by the Woking keeper.

The start of the second half began as the first half ended. It wasn’t till Mark Wright made a triple substitution half way through the half that Chester started to ask real questions on the Woking back line.

Mark Beesley was put through but saw his shot saved when Michael Twiss was well placed. A couple of goalmouth scrambles followed but city failed to convert.

With the game looking to be a certain scoreless draw Kevin McIntyre was adjudged to man handle a Woking striker and gave away a late penalty. Kevin McIntyre saw red and Woking converted the kick when McIntyre finally left the field of play.

Chester through everything forward before they went down to 9 men when Wayne Hatswell was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
