The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has confirmed that Worcester Warriors will be part of an expanded 14-team league, alongside all 12 current Championship clubs and Richmond, who were promoted from National League 1. Sixways Stadium and Ownership
The club will continue to play at its historic Sixways Stadium in Worcester. Under the new ownership of Christopher Holland and Junction 6 Limited, there are ambitious plans to redevelop the stadium, including increasing its capacity to 12,750, constructing a 120-room hotel, and establishing a national centre for esports.
Financial Commitments
As part of their return, the new ownership has committed to settling outstanding debts from the previous administration, including those owed to HMRC and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, by the end of 2025. They have also provided a financial security guarantee held by the RFU to ensure the club's financial stability
Coaching and Future Aspirations
In May 2025, Matt Everard, formerly Leicester Tigers' defence coach, was appointed as the new head coach of Worcester Warriors. The club aims to build a sustainable and competitive team with aspirations to eventually return to the Premiership
