The next WRSC event is on 28th October 2014 in the Duckworth Suite and is a Meet the forwards night.
The format will be much like our “Speed Dating” of the Meet the Players evenings in the past but with a twist. To get your ticket come and see us in the Coliseum Bar before the game today, prices are £2 for non-members and free to WRSC members.
The fun will start at 6.45pm for 7 – 7.30pm start and don’t forget to bring along your memorabilia to get signed!!
Here's a thought. Many of the players will be this season's signings, so a lot of the questions addressed to them will be along the lines of "How are you settling down?" Yet there may be many who can't attend, but would like to ask a less anodyne question, either to a particular player or perhaps about forward play in general.
If that's you, put the question on this thread and I'll ask it. If there is a number of questions, I'm sure that some of the other attenders* will come on the thread and offer to take them up.
LiH, there was a buzz in the air. The players were frank in their views, and so we were spared the clichés that so often come out. There seems to be a real feeling of togetherness, and of the belief that they are building a new culture. As one stalwart put it: "I have never before played in any club that didn't have factions and cliques. We're all in this together"
This is encouraging to hear. I guess that the professional rugby world is quite a small one and that these sorts of comments will spread to dressing rooms around the country. This in turn should make Worcester an attractive proposition for players the coaches wish to bring in from other clubs and indeed for prospective members of the Academy.
I have been at 6 Ways the last 2 days, try to hold meetings there and such.
In both days have seen the team and it looks good.
I will be out of action for the next few weeks, as need to go in for a rather big operation.
Hopefully will be back on in a coup,e of weeks.
All the best and keep me posted.
