Sam Russell has crushed rumours of him joining another club, by signing a deal to stay at the Williamson Motors Stadium for another two years. Darlingtons player of the season Russell has been linked with a host of clubs during pre-season, but has today commited his future to Darlington, delighting the Quaker fans.

Although Sam has signed a new deal, he will not go through the season un-challenged as 6ft 7" goalkeeper Bertrand Bossu has completed his move to Darlington, on a 1 year deal.

Bossu was released from Gillingham after not attending training and today, despite intrest from other clubs, has signed up for the new campaign.

Manager David Hodgson said "We now have two very good keepers at the club", and has also commented on other targets including David Duke and Colin Heath.
