Cameron Jerome has gone to Birmingham City for a huge fee, and all being well Jason Koumas should be heading the other way down the M50 in a deal with West Bromwich Albion. Meanwhile the manager has extended his own contract with the club.....

The Bluebirds boss David Jones signs a new two-year contract to keep him at the club until 2008.

The Cardiff City manager is quoted as saying "With the new stadium now about to take place and everything else, there is something special going to happen at this football club. There are too many things going on now for it to be just a gut feeling. Everything is geared towards being a fantastic football club - and I want to be part of that."

Marvellous - some good news at least! The boss thinks it's fantastic, let's hope some of the missing thousands believe him!
