Cardiff boss, Lennie Lawrence has admitted that the 4-0 scoreline his Bluebirds achieved at Loftus Road was harsh on QPR. After a poor first half performance, the Bluebirds hit form in the second half and left London with an incredible 4-0 victory.
Cardiff boss, Lennie Lawrence has confessed that the 4-0 scoreline his Bluebirds left Loftus Road with last Friday was a little harsh on the home side.
Cardiff were disappointing in the first half, and QPR were unlucky not to be in the lead, but the Bluebirds moved up several gears in the second half, and a hat-trick from Robert Earnshaw and a late goal from Andy Campbell secured a fantastic win for the Bluebirds, which will be crucial in the clubs promotion challenge.
After the game, Lawrence said.
"In the first half Rangers were marginally the better team and we did not pass the ball enough. We defended resolutely and did well against their set plays, which we thought would be a danger.
"Neil Alexander made one particularly good save and then in the second half they had one good chance.
"Goals change games, but I can't remember a game changing so much after one goal. Earnie toe-poked his first in, manipulated a second chance and finished superbly plus finishing so well for this third. He always believes he will score goals."
At the moment, Cardiff seem to be winning games without playing consistently good football, but at the end of the day it's the points that count and Cardiff have 3 more vital points in the bag after this result.
