It's another win for the high flying bluebirds!

A well taken goal towards the end of the second half by Steve Thompson was enough to take all three points for Cardiff City. A packed Ninian Park witnessed a closely fought battle with few real chances.

On balance of play the home side deserved the win but the Saints and their large support contibuted to a tough game and both sides should be in the frame at the end of the season.

Michael Chpra ran his socks off all night, all the players once again played to their full potential and big Steve secured the winner after a tough battle with Southampton defence. His firm strike in front of the Canton Stand was just enough!
