Preston pip the Bluebirds in ten v ten match!

Glen Loovens was sent off early in the first half as he brought down a Preston forward, however the teams were soon on equal numbers as before half time Nugent was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Michael Chopra equalised for Cardiff on 51 minutes shortly after the home side had been put ahead by Patrick Ageymang. However the home side finished stronger and after Danny Pugh put them ahead on 65 minutes the Bluebirds were always chasing the game.

After the game Dave Jones was quoted as saying that his team would "keep fighting, learning and pushing on"....

Cardiff remain in top slot however they are joined on 13 points by Birmingham City and Wolves with West Brom in 4th place.
