The first Test against New Zealand is India's 500th Test match... and the BCCI is marking this ocassion by allowing fans to pick their all time dream team on Facebook.  See article below for details.  Time to for some arm-chair punditry and nostaglia all mixed together. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has launched a fan engagement initiative ‘Dream Team’ to mark the 500th Test of Team India. The first Test match of the Paytm New Zealand tour of India to be played at Kanpur from September 22 onwards will be Team India’s 500th Test match.

The initiative empowers the cricket fans from all across the globe to vote for India’s ‘Dream Team’ through a series of poll questions on Indian Cricket Team’s Facebook Page - www.facebook.com/IndianCricketTeam

BCCI President, Mr. Anurag Thakur said: “I have always believed that the heart of the game lies with its fans and what better way to celebrate the historic moment of 500th Test match by giving the fans a chance to vote for their ‘Dream Team’. I am pleased that over 100,000 cricket fans have already voted to pick their top-order in the ‘Dream Team’ and I expect that number to grow manifolds in coming days.”

Mr. Ajay Shirke, Hony. Secretary said: “This is a great campaign for the Indian cricket fans to come together and pick their favourite players in their team. We are expecting our fans to give a healthy competition to the legends of the game, in their Dream Team.”

Too many players to pick from.
Legendary spinners e.g. Prasanna,Venkat,Bedi etc.

I don't know how good was C K Nayudu but have read a lot of good things about him.
