Too early to think like this...

Taylor may be a stud...but Windies need better pacers... these guys are nowhere near the old Windies pace quartets... in Stature both figuratively and literaly... they are midgets compared to Garner, Ambrose and Co...

No I'm not saying that they'd be world beaters....

But I think they won't be the doormats they've been for a while....

I actually thought the W.Indies would collapse after their top-order fell, but it was a decent effort by the bottom half to get a lead of 75...

I think Nash brings a lot of stability like Jimmy Adams and Larry Gomes used to...

Its about time. Kids in the Windies are more into US sports than cricket. Since their basketball star made it big in the NBA (cant recall his name but the guy was a 7 footer and an icon player like Jordan), theyre tuned to the US and cricket has slipped like crazy.

WI getting their act together is the best thing that happened to the sport. I'm hoping this is a huge shot in the arm for WI cricket.

I want to see Eng & Aus shown their place ! LOL

NO...no renaissance yet....WI have the talent but are profligate...like Agarakar...too many lows between their few highs.


They have the core though...about 5 good batsmen...3 expresss pacers...one or two unconventional spinners. and Bravo the allorunder will return sometime soon

They need a coach who can discipline them and a captain who can unite them

West Indies played an awesome Test match. What impressed me most was their disciplined bowling and clever tactics in the first innings, which set the tone for the match. They seemed to have done their homework, both on the pitch conditions, as well as the opposition batsmen, and executed the plans brilliantly. All credit to Chris Gayle the captain. Of course Taylor's 2nd innings spell was incredible, he was swinging the ball late at 90 mph...that is always going to be tough to handle. And everything went his way in that period. Suleiman Benn also looks a handy spinner.

England were lacklustre and carrying too many passengers, but still to beat them so convincingly is an excellent effort by West Indies. The key now for them is consistency. Can they keep up the same discipline and intensity in the remaining Tests? If so the series is there for the taking, and their Renaissance would have begun in style.

Jimmy Adamas and Larry Gomes were NOT white.

At best theyr were brown

Also initially I thought Nash was white, it turns out he has a Jamaican father and Nash just happens to look pale....

I think Nash is a New-Zealander... i donno if he is black, brown or white...

Maybe the way forward is for Lalit Modi to hold the next IPL there...

He can kill three birds with one stone..

Have the Pakistani players play... Get lots of Desis from USA over for a Carnival of cricket... and help the poor Windies board too... and also drive a nail into the coffin of Uncle Stanford...and his megalomania...

But it is true, the WICB is bunch of bunglers...

I don't think the Antigua call off is a debacle for WI in any way.

They only have to draw a test win the series.....and at best Eng can draw the series
