We reported earlier (click here to read article) how Romanian International Vio Ganea had fired an angry broadside at manager Glenn Hoddle.

The Wolves striker had blasted that Hoddle was the most difficult manager he had ever worked with and claimed he only knew of two or three players who were satisfied with him as Manager.

However Hoddle has now reacted, claiming he had to recently fine Ganea for fighting on the training ground and believed this was the reason for the 32 year olds outburst.

Following the 2-2 draw with Coventry City Hoddle said "Perhaps it is because he has not had a manager before who had the right level of discipline.

"I recently fined Vio a week's wages for fighting on the training ground. He had the choice of either taking it on the chin or reacting the way he has. Perhaps there's a story here behind the story."

The boss also admitted that the other player involved in the fight had also been fined a weeks wages but would no confirm the name of the player.

Rumours of the training ground bust up have been rife for some time with reserve player Kevin O'Connor believed to be the other player involved.
