Wolves did those ahead of them a favour last night, knocking Sheffield United from their top spot, but there was little else to warm the Molineux faithful on a cold blackcountry night

Warnocks blunt blades came for a draw, and got one. Wolves fans are used to seeing teams come to Molineux and set their defensive stall out and stick to it, but most expected more from a team that at one point looked to be running away with The Championship Title.

Perhaps they were missing key players, but that didnt apply to the Sheffield United front line who were all available for selection, but were kept well in check by the Wolves defence, with Jody Craddock leading by fine example.

In truth, Wolves front line hardly faired much better in a hard fought game that saw neither side give any quarter.

"They made it very difficult for us and got people behind the ball," "We didn't have the quality in the final third to open the door. We played quite well up to a point, then it was disappointing. But I have to say that, of all the teams that have come here, they have probably affected our goal less than anyone.

"No-one can blame them for playing like that after the start they had. I felt we were the better side and had more possession but we should have done more with it."

"They punched the air when the final whistle went, and I think that said it all."
