Wolves Leave it Late At Morecambe

Wolves Left it late at Morecambe, when youngster Jimmy Lee Jones netted an 87 minute equaliser in a very high tempo friendly leaving the final score 3-3.
Conference team Morecambe started the better of the two teams, but were stung in the 9th minute when Colin Cameron fired into the net from about 10 yards from a Kevin Cooper Cross.

Chances were few and far between but Wolves got lucky when Danny Carelton only had to beat Keeper Russell Haworth but shot straight at the trialist keeper.

Kevin Cooper was really enjoying the game and created Wolves 2nd goal, in which Dean Sturridge carried on where he left of last season and sent a shot over Morecambe keeper Mawson and into the net.

After the break Adam Proudlock replaced Deano up front, soon after that Morecambe scared Wolves bigtime by scoring twice in 3 minutes to stun the visitors.

Ryan Black Morecambes answer to Micheal Owen turned Cameron and then had a fierce drive which from 20 yards found it's way into the net , the equaliser was from Jim Bently who found space in the area and made it 2-2.

Wolves went behind for the first time in the game when Bently grabbed his second heading home from an Gary Thompson corner in the 72nd minute.

Morecambe were heading for a shock victory over Wolves, but with 3 minutes remaining Wolves youngster Jimmi Jones spared Wolves blushes by racing onto a through ball by Adam Proudlock, then taking on the keeper and scoring easily to make it 3-3.

Wolves come through a very tough fixture with heads still high, and will now head off for Portugal in the next few days to carry on there training for the coming season.
