 Wolverhampton Wanderers have sacked Assistant Manager John Ward with immediate effect and will announce the new number two to Dave Jones tomorrow.

 The 52 year old was sacked by Manager Dave Jones after he was told he will not feature in any plans for the forthcoming Premiership Campaign the Express and Star report.

 Wolves have failed to confirm or deny the reports but John Ward has contacted the E&S and has confirmed that he has been sacked and is currently seeking legal advice.

  Wolverhampton Wanderers will make a press-release tomorrow to confirm the reports and announce the new Assistant Manager. Brian Kidd and ex-Villa and Southampton coach Stuart Gray are believed to me amongst the names Dave Jones wants has his new number two.

 Coach Terry Connor has been in talks with Molineux Officials today and still does not know what part he has at Molineux.

 Ward was linked with the vacant Watford and Burnley Managers Jobs last season and will certainly return back to the game.
