Northampton Fury At Wolves Cheek

 Northampton Town are furious after Wolverhampton Wanderers asked for £250,000 for Midfield man Ivar Ingimarsson just months after saying the Iceland International could go for just £50,000.

 Ingimarsson signed for Wolves on a free transfer from Brentford at the beginning of last season after impressing in the lower league. However Ingimarsson went on to make just 10 Appearances, scoring twice and being left behind Paul Ince, Colin Cameron, Keith Andrews and Alex Rae in the Midfield pecking order.

 Ingimarrson was then sent on loan to now-relegated Brighton where he made 15 appearances.

 Northampton Town Manager Martin Wilkinson approached Wolves last season and was told Ingimarsson would be available for transfer for around £50,000 but when Wilkinson approached Wolves last week he was told Ingimarsson could go for no less than £250,000.

 We went in for Ingimarsson last season and Wolves asked us for roughly £50,000, now they are asking £250,000," Wilkinson told `Northampton Today`

"It's unbelievable isn't it? But it's not a dead deal yet. We will go back and say to Wolves not to be so silly, because he would be the anchor man I'm looking for.
"He is over 6ft and is strong and is good with both feet, but sadly I don't think we are going to get him now."

 Meanwhile sources suggest Wolves will sign a Mystery Player within the next 10 days.
