No Need To Spend Big

 Dave Jones believes throwing money at his Wolves squad might not be the way forward. Wolves have been linked with some top names in recent weeks, many of which would cost Wolves greatly.

 The most recent player to be linked with Wolves in Celtics Neil Lennon, but players with the qualities of Lennon would cost Wolves, and that is something Dave Jones might be keen to avoid.

"I don't think that throwing vast amounts of money at it always works. You can still be caught out. I think it is about making sure that I pick the right players." Jones told Teamtalk.

"My scouting network, which we have set up over the last two years, will now start to come to fruition. Then the biggest thing is whether you can persuade the players you want to come here.

"I know everybody inside Wolverhampton thinks that we are a big club but there are not many clubs in the Premiership who will think that we are a big club coming into it."

 Despite Jones being reluctant on spending vast amounts of money, he is certain of the one thing which Wolves must achieve, and that is to stay in the Premiership.

"I am not just going into the Premiership to stay there for one season. We will do our utmost to make sure we stay there. That will not be easy. It will be hard so my aim is to try and build the club so we can remain in the Premiership.

"But there are clubs who have a head start on us and we know we have to go in there and work really hard to stay in the division."
