Cameron Will Get Chance

Wolves central midfield magician Colin Cameron will get his chance to start for his country after his plea to Scotland coach Berti Vogts paid off.

Scotland will play Germany on Saturday in a do-or-die European qualifier and Vogts, who has appeared to look over Colin Cameron in recent games has now singled the Wolves star as a potential match-winner.

Cameron believed he was ready to pull the Blue jersey on again, and told Vogts he did not want to be left on the bench again, especially as he was in the form of his life, coming off the back of his best season of his career.

 Vogts reply to the plea was one which will put a bigger smile on Camerons face, especially as he`s still on a high after securing a Premeirship position with Wolves at Cardiff last Monday.

"I have just come off the best season of my career," Cameron told the E&S.

"The kind of success I have enjoyed this season will do no harm in keeping me in Berti Vogts' thoughts.

"I have felt for some time that I have been playing well enough to be a regular member of the Scottish team.

"It would be a big disappointment if I wasn't in the team this time.

"I am still on a high after the play-off final and the chance to face the Germans would top anything."

And his season will be "topped off" nicely with Vogts starting Colin Cameron on Saturday.

We missed Colin Cameron in that game, but he will be back for the Germany game," said Vogts.

"You look for a central midfielder who can get forward and Colin has been doing that for Wolves.

"It's a loss losing Barry Ferguson as he has been the best Scottish player, but Colin can come in and do the same sort of thing.

"I believe we can beat the Germans, but we must fight and run for 90 minutes."

Pre-Dream - Fans start to fill the Millennium Stadium before the Wolves` returned to the top flight.
