Here is the Press-Release from Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding the General Sale tickets for the Play-Off Final - Cardiff. Issued by the Wolves Press Office Wednesday May 21, 11.30am.

Approximately 5500 tickets for Monday’s play-off final against Sheffield United are being made available to the general public but will only go on sale at the ticket office from 10am tomorrow (Thursday).

However, as the queue outside Molineux already exceeds the allocation, the club has made some revisions to its sales plan. Supporters currently in the line will shortly be issued with vouchers that guarantee them the right to purchase two seats. Those who have queued longest will be allowed to purchase their tickets from 10am tomorrow, giving them some priority in the choice of seats available. Others will be able to purchase their tickets on Friday. The majority of the 5500 seats are priced at either £36 or £26 (concessions £18 and £13 respectively.

Anyone now attempting to join the queue is being advised that they will not be successful. No telephone bookings are being accepted. Unfortunately, therefore, there is no point in further supporters coming to Molineux. No tickets can be sold today as staff are concentrating on processing the 28,000 tickets that have already been sold – some of which still need to be posted out. The approximate breakdown of these seats is as follows: 24,000 sold to season ticket holders and members, and 4,000 sold to other key stake holders such as sponsors and corporate supporters who have been given similar purchasing rights to season ticket holders.

The sales times are as follows:

Supporters issued with vouchers numberded one to 1375 can purchase from 10am tomorrow until Friday at 5pm.

Supporters issued with vouchers numbered from 1376 to 2750 can purchase between 9am and 5pm on Friday only.

Anyone with these voucher numbers arriving before this time will not be served. The ticket office will close at 5pm on both days. Supporters are advised that neither vouchers nor tickets can be replaced if lost or stolen.

Chief executive Jez Moxey says: “We are making an announcement today as we had always advised we would. However, in the light of the queue that has formed at Molineux, we have decided to issue vouchers to these fans and allow them to go home in the knowledge that they are guaranteed to be able to buy a ticket.

“We know there will be a huge number of people who will be disappointed because they will not get a ticket as this announcement coincides with a ‘sold-out’ situation. But the reality is that we could have sold out the whole of the Millennium Stadium with just Wolves supporters. The phenomenal demand massively exceeds supply."
