Match Thread: Wolves v Manchester United 8pm KO 08.12.25
For our wonderful fans

It is almost unthinkable now, but last season Wolves did the double over Manchester United, what price for a repeat this season? Can anyone see that happening? Chins up Wolves fans, we’re bound to win sometime …. but when? It must be said though, that Wolves performance against Nottingham Forest was completely demoralising; total and utter cr&p . Still, the faithful will be showing up tonight at Molineux on a damp December Monday willing the lads on in the face of severe adversity, today's picture is a tribute to all Wolves supporters.
Taking of the fans, there is genuine trouble brewing with supporter groups joining together and publishing a joint statement calling to boycott the first 15 minutes of the match. There will obviously be differing views on such action, however Molineux has started to become very apathetic, understandable as our situation appears to be without hope. So, from my perspective at least some passion remains to let Fosun know how unhappy they and we are. Supporting your club is always about taking the rough with the smooth, but the Wolves situation now is diabolical and seemingly unrepairable with Fosun in charge.
The fans groups include Wolves 1877 Trust, Talking Wolves, Wolves Fancast, The Wolves Report, Wolves 77 Club, Always Wolves, Punjabi Wolves and The Wolfpack who wrote:
"We want to make it clear, in a peaceful but unmistakable way, that Wolves should be run with the ambition, pride and values this club was built on.
A club built on rich history and tradition. Few teams have shaped the game like ours. But today that legacy is being eroded - not by the fans, not by the players but by the continued negligence and incompetence of Fosun.
Supporters have tried to raise concerns. We've tried to engage. We've tried to be heard and it has felt, time and again, like Fosun and Jeff Shi simply haven't listened. That's why we've reached this point. By not addressing obvious leadership failings from Jeff Shi, Fosun have left supporters doubting whether they're still capable of taking Wolves in the right direction”.
The statement then goes on to call for the 15-minute boycott. Maybe it’ll still be 0-0 by then? It will be interesting to see how the stay away materialises.
The Wolves form remains grim, not just with the miniscule point haul but we’ve now gone five consecutive league games without a goal, the last being Munetsi’s strike v Burnley on 26th October, indeed no Wolves player has scored more than one goal! In the words of David Coleman, “Quite remarkable”. The £55m Toon offered Fosun for Strand Larsen now seems a distant dream.
And the records keep coming, for all the wrong reasons, only two other sides have had just two points from 14 matches in the topflight, Sheffield United in 2020-21 and all the way back to 1930-31 with our visitors this evening, Manchester United. Another appalling record should Wolves lose tonight would be to equal their all-time losing streak run of eight games.
I wonder where Rob Edwards thinks he’ll go next with his team selection. Nothing is working, no combination appearing to have impact. I thought he looked forlorn last Wednesday evening, not an appointment to decorate any managers CV … unless a miracle occurs. At this rate we’d be cannon fodder in the championship.
Anyway, enough of the gloom and doom, it’s nearly Christmas and potentially we’re just 90 minutes away from our first three points! Additionally, I will be watching down the pub, crying into me beer.
I genuinely wish the players all the very best tonight, as unlikely a win is. As for Fosun, I really hope eSports and the club badge are not the only goals they are looking at, their leadership is a bl00dy shambles.
8pm kick off folks and live on Sky, please leave your thoughts and comments in the thread below,
I bet on football all the time and we have to win eventually just down to the laws of averages. If you put a league 2 team in the prem, it would get a win or two - the problem is when we do eventually win people will see it as some tactical masterstroke from Edwards and a sign of improvement when in reality it's just a false dawn like the Villa defeat where we performed "well". Many don't grasp the sport is a great deal of random chance, to go on a run like ours isn't just unbelievably bad, it's borderline supernatural. Statistically you're looking at odds of well over 1000-1 and taking into account the end of last season, it's even more.
A plump young calf is said to be fattened even further by Fosun for sacrifice on the centre circle should we beat Shrewsbury. The football equivalent of the wickerman to thank fans for their patience during these tough times.
what dodgy illegal site are people watching wolves games on these days? I can't be bothered spending hours hunting around with infections and endless links. I haven't bothered for ages but it's getting quite comical so worth tuning in if only for that
We have a Football team of Gutless cowards.
Hoever starting the Game says it all, another clueless manager Brought in, Hoever isn't even league one standard but then again most of this pathetic team isn't.
Expect Sa to be back in Goal Against Arsenal.
Shooting practice tonight for Utd, the score could easily of been double figures we are that bad.
The Derby record is on boys!
This shambles can't go on, Fosun need to sell or at the very least remove shi because heads need to Roll for this shambolic season.
Awful times just awful.
The African nations will take away many of our "stars". If we get to 10 points it will be an achievement. I live near Norwich and the club is a complete laughing stock even here. There was an article in New York mocking Wolves saying we were the worst team that's ever lived and with the attention the premier league gets we are literally a global laughing stock
That was utterly painful to watch.
10 outfield headless chickens with the freedom to run around at will and without any coordination as a team.
So poor. Keystone cop defending at its finest, ball retention and accurate passing par excellence. Not.
Dreadful and yet I think we played slightly better than v Forest. Just an opinion!
Manchester United had so much freedom that they could attack at will and in second gear. What was Edwards thinking leaving Middlesbrough?
A team of no hopers. A team that have already surrendered. A Wolves team closing in on being one of the very worst sides in our clubs history. Lose against Arsenal and that will be the longest Wolves losing streak ever.Pathetic.
This side would struggle in the 3rd division / league one.
On the plus, we scored a goal.
Otherwise gutless, utterly useless.
UTW
It's History Repeating itself, I've seen it many times over the years.
Wolves just have that terrible habit of building you're hopes up and then pressing the self destruct button.
I was among the protesters outside the old southbank in the 80s trying to get rid of the bhatti Brothers and believe me this current team is the worst ive seen, back then we did at least win a few games.
Jeff shi giving the orders to switch the tvs off in the concourse area trying to force fans into seats just about sums this clueless clown up.
How petty is that?
Rob Edwards looks shell shocked, I dont think he Realized how bad things are at wolves.
The seasons done, the protests have to continue, the fans voices need to heard, its the only way to get Rid of Fosun and shi.
The paying fans deserve much better than this tripe on the pitch.
FOSUN OUT!

The only worry of Fosun selling up would be who we then have in charge. Would it be a golden hearted philanthropist or an asset stripper.
Worrying times ahead I think.
