Wolves travel for another big challenge today, facing Manchester Ubited at Old Trafford in the day's late kick-off. New signing Daniel Podence is likely to be in the match day squad, along with Diogo Jota and Willy Boly who have recovered from injury.
In light of their injury list it could be considered that today is a very good time to be playing at United. Rashford and Pogba are still unfit to play along with several others. However word has it that their major new signing Bruno Fernandez will play today, whilst their new striker Odion Ighalo is still in China!!
After what many Wolves fans would consider a poor transfer window - which certainly didn't live up to the expressions of hope frm Nuno Espirito Santo earier in the season - having seen only Daniel Podence join as a potential first team player and defender Ryan Bennett depart on loan to top four team Leicester City, Wolves must surely be hoping they will not suffer any further long-term injuries, and will have a big enough squad to face the rigours of the rest of the PL season and the Europa League knock out stages. We must also hope that this is not secretly a source of frustration to Nuno as his appeal to other clubs grows!!
Once again Wolves will be heading off to Marbella next week for warm weather training during the international break.
Today's match will be screened by Sky TV with a 5:30pm kick off, and will be refereed by Paul Tieney.
This board will hopefully carry regular updates through the match. Members are encouraged to post their observations for the benfit of those unable to watch it.

Changes to our team this afternoon. Willy Boly steps back into the team replacing Dendoncker who drops to the bench. Neto also on the bench & replaced by Jota. Keeping them company on the bench is Daniel Podence. Line-up

Shows how far we have come in the past few seasons- every one of the subs would have walked into the starting lineup just a few seasons ago.
Well, despite the somewhat predictable but lacklustre January window, a pleasure to see Jota and Boly make their starts. Bit harsh on Neto, perhaps? I’d be surprised if he didn’t get on.
Surely we have a great chance in this one ....... when don’t we? Would love to see us deliver a Man City / Liverpool style performance again - or Saints second half! Who wouldn’t.

I despise United with a passion having grown up around United fans in the northwest- sky sports news full of news about Uniteds new signing instead of mentioning ours. Lets put these scummy b*astards to the sword.. old Trafford is rammed full of Chinese tourists so hopefully they have been screened by medics before entering the theatre of turds

Free kick to Wolves 25 yds out, cleared but to Traore who earns a corner
Great play by Jota to get Jonny into area but Shaw cleas for a throw in. Both teams happy to play on the counter attack. Adama slows the game down when a quick delivery was needed

Neves coming up with some fabulous passes. Harry McGuire tries another shot from distance but very poor effort.
Saiss upends Martial ten yards outside our area which Fernandes takes and hits straight into touch!
Neves steps up to take a similar free kick but way too high - again - from him.

Good first half from us, didn’t concede an early goal for once.
The rest seems to have done the world of good for the energy levels.
An open game where we have edged it, just need that first goal to really put the pressure on them.
Traore shoulder seems to be a constant problem for him so hoping that he comes out for the second half but if not we have Podence who can continue to terrorise their defenders.

Great chance for Jota but just loses the ball at the last moment. United struggling to mount a dangerous attack then Fernandes gets a yellow card for bringing down Raul.
Now Neves brings down Mata & gets a yellow card. Fernandes to take it - on target but well covered by Rui

Dalot goes close with a header. Final whistle goes and it finishes goalless. A better result for us than them!!

I can remember the days we would have been ecstatic with a point at Old Trafford - now it just seems a wasted opportunity! hope Adama is OK!
A fairly dour performance from both teams but shows how far we've come that we are disappointed with a draw at old Trafford. I dont understand why nuno brought Raul off for a defender... this isnt the United of yesteryear , why not go for all 3 points? Podence looked decent but he could have at least had the decency on the bench to be ready for action instead of putting shinpads on etc
A good performance and a well deserved point. Does not do my nerves any good at all when we defend so deep for so long. Teams are now showing our attack a lot more respect and are doubling up at every opportunity. Boly and Jota seemed to settle back in seamlessly which is a bonus.

Definitely a good point though 4 matches against them this season, 3 draws and a defeat. Overall I’d say that is disappointing.
We could have made better of some of our chances but that is the story of the last two seasons. Equally Manchester United had very good opportunities and the one at the death was a massive heart in mouth moment! Happy with the point and definitely deserved.

There are far too many international breaks in football and when you consider some weeks we are saturated with games to the point of overkill , the spacing of the games definitely needs to be looked at.
I'm assuming it's another international break with players born in Jamaica donning the 3 lions because their grandmother once farted in Uk airspace in 1955 so we have to endure a few pot bellied drunks and deranged old biddys waving their flags again. Keep the world cup as an instant knockout , scrap qualification making it like the FA cup where minnows can draw "giants " … who wants to watch England pummel another country in qualification where residents think the wheel is a new invention with Wright and Shearer wheeled out in suits telling us all how there is progress when England wins 8-0 vs san marino type opposition. I wouldn't wash my car with a d1ckland shirt.. which I have now purchased after going to court last week somehow keeping my license on 13 points

it’s a premier league induced winter break. 1 week’s fixtures spread over two weeks to give the molly coddled athletes a well earned break and because mystic meg foresaw and predicted huge snow drifts across England ........ and of course, more money achieved via TV schedules.
As for my England shirt, I’ll put it away until June 14th

I couldnt be bothered to check Ivy if Dickland were playing the Vatican city but regardless of this break, we continually have the international nonsense during a season and it needs scrapping. When did this break get introduced.. this season I presume as I cant recall this before?
Spot on, first season. It was decided sometime last season that the poor lambs would be tired come mid February or, as I indicated, the country would grind to halt following a perfectly timed biblical snow fall.
Just goes to show that you give an inch however - instead of focusing on the fact this stupid break has been introduced because of constant bleating , the likes of Pep and Klopp still love to pedal the erroneous view of playing too much football. Tiresome.

Indeed Ivy , with our tiny squad I think we are currently exploding the myth of the tiredness rubbish. I'm sure we all remember earlier this season there were people saying we would be relegated due to the Europa league exertions as physical athletes in their prime are incapable of two 90 minute matches in a week... what a load of cr*ap that is. Back In the real world nurses work 12 hour shifts, tennis players play 5 sets on consecutive days but some Instagram ponce like Pogba is feeling a little bit weary the poor soul. I also have vague recollections of reasons behind Burnleys struggle last season being down to one qualifying game in the Europa against Olympiakos where they didnt even make the group stages... it may have been Cedric that believed that. 
I always believe proof is in the pudding with these things whether its crutone, impending relegation battles or even prediction league tables to see where these... experts are
