Any more new recruits for Wolves?

As we enter the last few weeks of the shortened trasfer window we wonder whether any more new players will join us?

Since the end of the 2017-18 season Wolves have secured the services of Diogo Jota, Willy Boly, Leo Bonatini, Rau Patricio, Raul Jimenez and some players for the Under 23 squad. We have been linked with Oleksander Zinchenko from Man City, Jaio Mario who was with West Ham last season and a few other names, but so far no more information has come to light.

Who would you like (realistically) to see us sign before the new season?

On one or two youtube channels they are saying that there is to be some big signing tomorrow ( Monday 23rd). Whether it's true or some daft rumour I don't know.
As for who I would like to see Wolves sign realistically, I would say Zinchenko. There's little doubt that he's Premier class, he's young and can play in a couple of positions that could do with strengthening.

A world away from the transfers we were used to just a few short months ago. Seems we are shopping at a different level now and not seeking bargain bin additions.
If I had any reservations it’s that the club seems to be avoiding any serious bids for young British talent.

I did this thread in a bit of hurry last pm after a weekend away, so forgot to include players who have moved away. Harry Burgoyne has gone on loan, so has Roderick Miranda. Prince Oniangue has moved, and I see today that Mir has also gone on a season's loan, all of which seems pretty reasonable to me following last season.

I would agree with Lupinehowler though that it would be good to see some home grown talent being sought, rather than simply relying on the Portugal World Cup team minus Ronaldo!!

So we've 'released Roderick' then?! Anyway .....

Great times ahead, I'm sure. But totally agree - we need a balance in recruitment and retention - and for me that includes developing and sustaining home grown talent ... I hope. As an example, and in addition to youth development and old fashioned scouting, why don't teams like Wolves go for someone like Stones - a great World Cup and very decent player who couldn't hardly get a match for Man City. I'm using him as an example folks!!

By the way Harry Burgoyne played a friendly for Argyle the other day v Yeovil and lost 5-0. Probably says more about Argyle and our 'arry. Anyone remember our pre-season match versus Yeovil, then non-league, in 2003? What a complete disaster and a million miles away from where we are now!

Jonny Castro in on loan but looking likely that Barry Douglas will be on his way to Leeds.
After his efforts last season I will be sorry to see him leave, should have earned his chance to show what he could do in the Prem.

Re Douglas - thoroughly agree. I understand there's no sentiment and we are moving forward apace but I also strongly felt he'd more than earnt his chance. What a left foot.

I'm also surprised to hear about Douglas potentially going to Leeds but it's also easy to overlook - as I did at the beginning of this thread! - that we have signed Ruben Vinagre on a five year contract who I think also has great potential at left wing back.

Jonny Castro confirmed a coming in on loan this evening, and word on SSN is that we are chasing Yerry Mina from Barcelona, but Everton are also interested. The Sun reports we are strongly linked with Boro's Adama Traore.

Adama Traore has arrived today, involving Wolves breaking their transfer fee record. Now it seems Belgian midfielder/defender Leander Dendoncker is undergoing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
This morning SSN were saying we were very keen top recruit Sam Clucas from Swansea but this may have been superseded by the Dendoncker arrival.

Well that was a transfer window the likes of which I have not seen before. Can you imagine what it could be like in a few seasons time once we are established.
