Saville will be savouring this one and a couple of seasons back we were three nil up against them and still ended with a draw.
But surely we must be too good for this lot?

What a goal, Jota 1-0

We have dominated the ball but have not created enough efforts on goal. We need a little more pace in the game. Still we are winning so I'm happy at the mo.

Not brilliant but a win is a win.
Never created enough despite loads of possession, and too many shots from outside the box.

Just got back from the match. Wolves never looked like losing to me once Jota had scored. Great goal. Disappointed we couldn't get a second especially when Millwall were down to 10. I think we may have to get used to odd goal wins this season.
Ruddy had little to do so did well to stay alert with two good saves at the end.
I must admit when so many players were brought in and so much money spent in the summer, I didn't give Coady a hope of getting in the team but he looks right at home in the middle of the back three. Read everything well and probably played one mis-placed pass all game.
Miranda moved to the left of the back three for Boly. He played better on that side of the defence than he had been so maybe that's the place to play him but I'm still not quite convinced yet.
A little bit disappointed with the way Neves played. He didn't exactly play badly, he did ok, but played some poor passes which is unusual for him. On this particular day, Saiss played better.
I thought Jota was our best player, especially in the second half, and scored a great goal.
Bonatini was alright but never came close to scoring. Another I'm yet to be convinced by but it's still early days for them all.

We need to inject a bit more pace into the game. It's great that we keep the ball but at times we pass backwards even if there is space to run into. Still we are going well and long may it continue.

For all I know things might fall away and we will end up in mid table obscurity but right now with the money that's been spent and some decent players brought in, we're playing some good football and doing well in the league. We're even still in the League Cup which is a miracle as we're normally out by now. Given all that the quietness on here does seem strange.

Yes I was hoping the good start would see some return but it looks if they have all defected to other sites. Some days i feel like i am wasting my time.

Just looked and reviewed - this is my first post since May!
I still look most days, some of the new stuff that has been posted has been absolutely excellent, for example the 'Old Encounters' - love it!.
I haven't transferred to another site, just haven't posted. Numbers have wained over the years and I still posted however I decided to give it a rest after some of the posts / threads after the Manchester bombing and the lead up to the election which were attracting much greater view numbers and posts than Wolves / football related stuff. I am quite a political being, but come on here - and always have - to talk primarily about football, to escape the affects of political decisions I see day to day through work and family.
Additionally, I'm still yet to fully emotionally attach to the new Wolves project, new era , refreshing and exciting though it is. Sadly, the 2Ms beat my passion for so long. Still love the Wolves but want longer to assess how this ownership develops, not only on the pitch but the (perceived) culture also.
For the record I was at Molineux yesterday. What a differnece in play from last season. Jota is a real player on yesterdays showing. Coady was so good too - a distributing and ball playing centre half - who'd have thought it. Incredible to see so many players comfortable on the ball. Really enjoyed it BUT and there is a but ...... possession is all very well but we should have annihilated Millwall yesterday. Too much pretty stuff in the final third without the pace of getting down the wings and a true centre forward up front. Bonatini largely plays with his back to the goal, so is naturally looking for players to pass back to. Too many occassion we passed backwards rather than taking the opposition on ...... who looked very shaky even with 11 players.
So, a dominating 1-0 win, though playing 3 at the back and failure to seal the win always gives any opposition a chance, and so it proved with Ruddy making a couple of great stops at the end.
All in all, very happy with the football, however we are definitely a work in progress and Nuno's comments comfirmed this IMO. Really need a natural goal scorer.
As always UTW and the greatest of respect for those keeping this site operating!

I've been doing the match threads for several years. Time someone else did it. It's not as though we get paid for doing it and it never seemed to be appreciated. Last season myself and Chesh ended up just talking to ourselves most of the time. Can't see the point anymore.

Good to see you posting Ivy and you reflect some of my own feelings in regard to attachment to the club. Feeling a bit alienated by all the change and so many new players it is difficult to invest emotionally this early in the season-- Costa being the exception. Hopefully as the season progresses and we see more success there will be greater enthusiasm for the site.

For those of us far away the silence on this site, which used to be so busy, is a little bit of a mystery; things are certainly cooking (we even scraped a win after the international break for a change). But the site barely has a pulse and we either need to find a way to enliven it, or perhaps it has run its course; when I said that a year ago I got jumped on by Angry, who of course is now MIA.
