Wolves go to Leeds looking to end a 2 game losing streak. They have not got a good record against Leeds but will hope to put a dent into there play-off hopes today.

Wolves have left with all three points in two of their last four visits to Elland Road. They had won two of their previous 22 games there beforehand

Apparently Batth and Cav are injured and Bod and Hause both dropped.
Knowing my luck, having been to the last two matches and performed poorly, this unexpected line up will confound us all and win at Elland Road!!

I think it's going to be important how Saville & Saiss shape up in midfield as a new pairing. I wasn't overly impressed with Saiss on Saturday, but PL is obviously maintaining keeping faith in him.

Elsewhere, Tammy Abraham has just scored his 25th of the season, quite a total given where Bristol City are in the league - that at least means Blackburn are losing - good news for those still believing we could go down!
Meaningless game with nothing to play for from a wolves perspective ..never even knew we were playing till just now.
Weimann misses a 1 on 1. Should have scored, good Green save. Shades of Dicko's miss at Aston Gate?

Bloody hell, we've scored - decent goal from Dicko, his first away goal in ages - what a turn up this we be - Sky reporting we deserve this lead. Good news.

Half ime Leeds 0 Wolves 1. Excellent performance by Wolves so far, with several chances to take thew lead from Weimann, Saville and Dicko. Seemingly one of the passes of the season from Marshall to set up Dicko who took his chance well. Wolves have been on the front foot throughout, and our defence have been solid.
Some very heavy challenges from Leeds led to yellow cards fro Bridcutt and Bartlet, with Saville picking one up for a similar challenge

I didn't say that was the only purpose!! I also think the history and size of our two clubs will always make this a game of interest.
As things stand Wolves will be mathematically safe this season. let's hope we can go on and achieve three points to that end.

We are where we are and we can only play who's in front of us today. May go teets up this half, however I'd like to see us have a target to beat last seasons points total of 58.
The fact we limited Leeds to such a poor half is commendable, however they are now out of the play off positions (as it stands) so a good test. Personally I am p!ssed off this decent effort comes after the matches I've been to. Typical.

Not really paying off having the extra defender as it's inviting Leeds on to us. Good goal line clearance by Hause. 30 seconds normal time to go, but 5 minutes added time

That's it Wolves win. A great win especially considering the changes made to the team, but for me a win at Elland Road is always to be celebrated. Means we are safe from relegation now.
Now that its confirmed we wont be in league 1 , hopefully Lambert can fck off and take the rest of this useless squad with him. With this victory we move up to ...16th
For me the hope now is that we can get further up the table and finish above Villa, as we're already above Brum.
Really disappointing to feel that I'm largely typing to myself on here!!

I second that, fair play to all the guys who post game commentary on here.
How can Wolves be so inconsistent, i get the fact that its a very unpredictable League but our form this year has been bonkers, Leeds muct have been very poor today, one of the most disappointing seasons ever.
I have no faith at all in Lambert.

I don't think so Irish. Our lads really took the game to Leeds in the first half, and with a bit more luck and accuracy could have been 3 - 0 up at half time. Leeds resorted to some crude challenges, and could have seen a red card for at least one of them.
They didn't have a shot on target until 17 minutes from the end of time, and I believe Williamson and Stearman performed particularly well considering how many times they have played this season.

Well the fact that Leeds didnt have a shot on target at home until 17 mins from time would suggest to me that Leeds didnt play well, was it a case that we were very good , Leeds were very bad or a bit of both? Also, if we were very good, then why cant the players put in this performance every week instead of getting hammered by Bristol City etc

To answer you Irish I've just watched extended highlights on Player, and we scored with our third shot on target. We put in a good attacking performance in the first half and really took the game to Leeds, when they resorted to crude tackles. In the second half we defended really well and restricted them to two attempts on target.
Personally I think the Bristol City result was on the cards in retrospect after our run of 6 games without defeat, and City were - and still are - battling for their lives below us.
I'm prepared to give Lambert credit for getting us away from danger and creating a squad who are prepared to step up when called upon.

Lamberts team selections have smacked of drawing names out of a hat, and i believe that this squad has under achieved this season.

I wouldn't disagree Irish, although I think the draw at Ipswich - which has never been a particularly easy place for us - stopped the rot and gave the lads the belief in themselves ready fro Brentford.
Lamberts mandate when he took the job was to get us in the playoffs not steer us away from relegation lol. He's failed miserably as far as I'm concerned.
The first 6-8 games of next season will be interesting, if we get off to a fast start then fair enough, if not then Lambert should be replaced. Who wants another season like this one, it has been boring to say the least. I know people will point to the FA cup run but the League is where its at. Im not saying its promotion or bust but it would be nice to contend for the play-offs at least. If teams like Reading and Huddersfield can do it, then why not us.

I really hope Lambert proves me wrong but, I'm sorry to say, I'm just not convinced. And I'm not enamoured with the backroom staff either!
I have to say I'm bored to death of wolves and the never ending building plan. I'd never support another club but as far as actively attending games or even watching them on tv goes I'm cashing out so to speak.. other things I want to do in life and I'm not getting any younger. I posted a thread on wolves vs Reading circa 2002 a few weeks ago and it was nearly identical to ones we have seen this season. I've no reason to doubt in another 15 years it will be the same sh.it of get whoever out and we're building for the future- bored to death of it all lol.
