Ladies and Gentleman, this is, as they say, "it". No more contemplation, my fellow Wolves, at 5pm this Saturday, no matter where you are, you will either be sat with a look of distinct satisfaction upon your face, or you will paint a rather concerned visage.

I sincerely hope to appear the epitome of glee as I make the two and a half hour trip home, as opposed to looking your local neighbourhood miser.

Football isn't fair, as I am sure we are all very much aware, and for those of you present for the ultimate daylight robbery dished out to us courtesy of Steve "Mushy Nose" Bruce's Birmingham City, or those of you sat at home gazing in disbelief as Cameron Jerome slotted home the winner, I am sure that bitter aftertaste lingers still.

So perhaps you'll understand why I find it ironic that Wolves, a team with it all to play for, requiring a minimum of 4 points in order to guarantee a shot at the big time, have the unfortunacy to be playing an in-form Queen's Park Rangers side with nothing to fight for but pride. This, my friends, is not going to be the walk in the park the league table would appear to forecast it.

Never forget, the most dangerous opponent is he who has nothing to lose- he will grant no quarter and as he has nothing to fear will fight like he has nothing to fear- with supreme confidence. So please forgive me if I'm not particularly relishing the prospect of this particular encounter.

Nonetheless, wary or not of the potential threat posed by this Saturday's visitors, a performance like last week's from the boys, and hopefully no repetition of the antics of Colin Doyle, and Wolves should see this fixture through, and put one foot in the play-offs. Unless of course Stoke/Colchester, Preston, West Brom, Southampton or Sheffield Wednesday all win, and let's face it, with our luck... it's going to happen. Damn it all.
