Red Bull Racing 4 Day Valencia Test Round Up

Red Bull Racing spent four days last week testing at the Valencia circuit (the permanent one, not the street track used for the European GP,) shaking down chassis number 2 and moving on with the cars’ development programme, after its launch and first test at Jerez earlier this month. The weather was good throughout the week, so work continued uninterrupted for both Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel.

Mark Webber drove on the first two days: "We worked through some stuff that was a bit more specific to Melbourne, as the Valencia track is pretty good for this, being quite easy on rear tyres," said the Aussie driver. "I'd say the car development is coming on well and so is the Mark Webber Leg Development programme. This was the first time I've driven for two days in a row and that went well and there were no ill effects afterwards. The leg is getting more and more normal with every passing day and hopefully, by the time we get to Melbourne, I should have the equivalent of six or seven grands prix distances under my belt."

Sebastian got behind the wheel for the final two days. "We have done a lot of laps, but we must continue to work hard at the upcoming tests; really, it won't be until we all run in Australia that we will see where we are compared to the others."

Also at Valencia was a film crew to record the drivers and cars on track.

The team is going to have plenty of time to brush up its Spanish, as there are two more test sessions prior to the curtain raiser in Melbourne, with a session in Jerez this week and then a final dress rehearsal in Barcelona next week.

It was a private test, so no official media coverage, no timings released, no lap numbers etc
