Qualifying for the 2021 Steiermark GP would see the Williams Racing Team produce an excellent result with George Russell finishing in a stunning 11th position while Nicholas Latifi also put in a good performance finishing in 16th. For George he would fail to get into the final period of qualifying by the smallest of margins just 0.008s. Both drivers will have tyre choice for Sundays race so given their starting positions it makes the prospects for a good race result quite promising.

Bottas would have another run and was now third. Hamilton would return on another set of medium tyres being the only driver on the track. But all the drivers except Gasly would return including the Williams. The remaining Williams would go 10th but only for moments dropping to 11th as others went faster. Of the other drivers Perez would go quickest with a 1m:04.197 from Norris, Gasly, Verstappen, Bottas, Hamilton, Alonso, Tsunoda, Leclerc and Stroll tenth.

The final period of qualifying would see Verstappen quickest after his first run with a 1m:03.841 followed by Hamilton, Norris, Bottas, Perez, Gasly, Leclerc, Tsunoda Alonso and Stroll yet to set a time. George Russell:
George would follow his team-mate out also on the soft tyre. He would set a 1m:05.752 to be quickest dropping to second. This would become 14th as more times were set. George would pit after a four lap run. Currently 17th George would return on soft tyres. A 1m:05.033 sees George seventh finishing the period in 12th. With the start of the second period George would return again on the soft tyre. He would set a 1m:04.942 to be second behind Bottas. This would become fourth as he pitted after a three lap run. He would drop to sixth but quickly it would become 13th as he pitted. He would return with just under three minutes remaining and would set a 1m:04.671 to be 10th but he would drop to 11th by just 0.008s and was out of qualifying.

Nicholas Latifi:
Nicholas would be first out for Williams running on the soft tyre. He would set a 1m:05.963 to be currently quickest from Schumacher. He would pit after a two lap run. Nicholas would return on a new set of soft tyres and would set a 1m:05.175 to be eighth. He would drop to ninth behind Alonso. He would pit after a three lap run. Seemed like Nicholas's lap had scared quite a few teams given the extra pace he has found on his second run. Nicholas would return for a third run on again on the soft tyre. He would finish the period in 16th and was out of qualifying by the smallest of margins.
