Team Summary:
For Williams racing the second Friday practice session would see George Russell return joining Nicholas Latifi. With the start of the session it would be Grosjean first out. Quickest time would be Raikkonen with a 1m:06.339 running on the medium. Leclerc would move ahead but Kvyat would set a 1m:06.116 running on the hard tyre. Raikkonen would move into second followed by Leclerc, Sainz, Norris, Giovinazzi, Grosjean and Nicholas eighth. Gasly was now fourth followed by Albon both on the hard tyre. At the front Perez was now fastest with a 1m:05.296 followed by Stroll both on the medium tyre. Albon was now third followed by Ocon, Sainz, Kvyat, Raikkonen, Leclerc, Gasly and Norris tenth.

But the session would be red flagged when Ricciardo was to have a crash at Turn nine leaving the track at high speed and hit the barrier badly damaging his Renault. The Williams drivers were currently 14th and 16th. The session would restart with both Williams drivers coming out. Quite a few drivers were on the soft tyre as Hamilton went fastest only to see Bottas move ahead with a 1m:04.999. But Norris and Sainz would go ahead on the soft tyre while Perez would be quickest with a 1m:04.087. Verstappen was now second followed by Norris and Sainz. Bottas and Hamilton were fifth and sixth both still on the medium tyre. But Verstappen's time would be deleted due to track limits. Verstappen was able to recover to return to second. Stroll was now up to third with Ocon fourth. Perez had improved his quickest lap time to now set it at 1m:03.877.

Bottas was seventh on the soft tyre. His next lap would see him move into second. Stroll would move into second on the soft tyre seeing Bottas third. Verstappen would move back into second but it would be deleted seeing him drop back to sixth. This would become seventh as Albon went fifth. The Williams drivers were now 15th and 17th. Bottas would go quickest with a 1m:03.703 followed by Perez, Stroll, Sainz, Hamilton, Albon, Norris, Verstappen, Leclerc, and Ocon tenth with thirty five minutes remaining. Verstappen was able to move ahead of Bottas with a 1m:03.660. Albon would spin at Turn eight taking to the gravel. He would return to his pit. With the end of the session the top ten drivers were Verstappen, Bottas, Perez, Stroll, Sainz, Hamilton, Albon, Norris, Leclerc, and Ocon tenth. The Williams Racing Team would see their drivers finish in 15th and 17th. Both drivers were having to make up for missed first practice sessions for different reasons. But again both drivers are well in the fight with the likes of Alfa Romeo and Haas.

George Russell:
George would come out for his first run using the hard tyre. He would set a 1m:08.651 to be 13th. He would drop to 15th and would pit after a four lap run. This would become 16th. He would return with the restart running on the soft tyre. A 1m:06.850 to be 17th. But George would move ahead of his team-mate with a 1m:06.352 to be 16th. He would pit after a seven lap run. Like his team-mate he would return for a second soft tyre run. George would improve with a 1m:05.588 to be 14th. George would pit after a five lap run. Twenty five minutes remaining and George was back out again on the soft tyre. George was currently 15th and would complete his soft tyre run returning on teh hard tyre. He would pit after a four lap hard tyre run. He would complete a brief two lap soft tyre run pitting with the end of the session.

Nicholas Latifi:
Nicholas would take to the track early running on medium tyres. In the first session he had only done six laps so needs the track time. His first time would be a 1m:08.159. He would improve with a 1m:07.439. Nicholas would continue to lap on the medium tyre but would pit after a nine lap run. Nicholas would also come out with the session restart running on the soft tyre. He would set a 1m:06.450 currently 16th. He would drop to 17th prior to pitting after a seven lap run. With just over fifty minutes remaining Nicholas would return again on the soft tyre. Nicholas would set a 1m:05.855 to be 15th dropping to 16th. Nicholas would pit after a five lap run. With thirty minutes remaining Nicholas would return again on the soft tyre. He would improve with a 1m:05.655. Nicholas would say to his engineer that the rear of his car was feeling on the edge. Nicholas would pit switching to the medium. With five minutes remaining he had completed twelve laps. He would pit after a 14 lap run as the session came to an end.
