ROKiT Williams Racing is delighted to announce a strengthened partnership with Sofina Foods in 2020. The prominent Canadian food manufacturer first joined the team as a partner for the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship.

Sofina has boosted its commitment to the team, and its name will feature on the back of the FW43’s rear wing from the season-opening Grand Prix in Australia. As well as on-car branding, Sofina will feature throughout the ROKiT Williams Racing garage and hospitality areas, on team wear and race suits of George Russell and Nicholas Latifi.

Established in Ontario in 1995, Sofina's vision is to become the most successful food company in the world. It has grown rapidly and now has 5,000 employees across 20 facilities throughout Canada.
Deputy Team Principal of ROKiT Williams Racing, Claire Williams, commented: “We are pleased to announce that Sofina has continued their partnership with the team for a second year. Sofina’s involvement in the sport has been extremely valuable to their long-term vision, and we are committed to helping them achieve their goals. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with them and we look forward to this continuing in the year ahead.”

Brent Quartermain, Sofina Foods Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Having a presence in Formula One has brought great value to our company, so it was a logical step to build on that success by increasing our involvement with Williams for the 2020 season.

Yes but Orlen have paid like 12m for all the different places on the car and if Latifi brings more then why his biggest brand is being exposed only there? I expected to see Sofina on the sidepods as well as on the back of the rear wing plus halo etc. Wouldnt that be reasonable if Latifi brings as much as people think?
Stroll also didnt have his logos in those places but then we had Martini & Rexona deals in place so it was understandable.

Remember that Lavazza is still yet to be announced. And in F2 they had more prominent presence on Latifi's car.

Yeah, I guess i'm a little bit surprised that if Lavazza will be on the sidepods we havent announced it first because it's more prestigious place on the F1 car. That is if we wont find someone else for that spot and Latifi then wont get as much place on the car for his brands.

Still I think Sofina only on the back of the rear wing is below expectations from someone as rich as Latifi.

I still hope to see a new sponsor joining us, beside what Latifi is bringing in...Somewhere it was written Rexona deal was around 15m a year which is a very big money to cover.Orlen nearly the same...And with them being covered, we will still have the smallest budget with 20-25m loss at the end of season.

We're yet to know how much more money is Rokit paying after the new deal. I guess we will have to wait until preseason testing and see what spaces they get on the FW43.

Ha! Prime spot on a Williams car - guaranteed coverage on both cars for every GP at the back of the grid!!

Sofia is likely not his only sponsor. You may see a few more announcements which in turn will populate more of the car. That group of laitifs sponsors may amass to the same amount as Orlen but each individual will be getting less space
