Team Summary:
With the start of the first Friday practice session for the 2019 Hungarian Grand Prix spots of rain would start to fall. But drivers would start their runs and it would be Hamilton fastest with a 1m:20.763 followed by Leclerc and Vettel. but Leclerc and Grosjean would go quicker with Leclerc setting a 1m:19.638 running on the soft. Magnussen was now second followed by Grosjean both on the medium. But again Hamilton would go fastest with a 1mL18.660. Again it would change with Verstappen quickest with a 1m:18.629 on the soft tyre. Vettel and Leclerc were third and fourth. A 1m:18.077 from Hamilton still on the soft tyre. Magnussen and Grosjean were now fifth and sixth.

More drivers would improve with Hulkenberg and Ricciardo sixth and seventh. Perez was eighth followed by Stroll and Grosjean now tenth. A 1m:17.565 from Hamilton from Verstappen and Vettel. Gasly was now fourth followed by Leclerc and Magnussen. Gasly would improve to be third. But with an hour remaining the rain would start to fall. It was confirmed by Mercedes that Bottas would require an engine change ending his session. With the track emptying with a small rain shower the top ten would be Hamilton, Verstappen, Gasly, Vettel, Leclerc, Magnussen, Perez, Hulkenberg, Sainz and Norris. The Williams drivers were at the bottom of the times with George not having set a time. As the rain disappeared drivers would start to return.

Hamilton's quickest time was now a 1m:17.233 with Verstappen second and Magnussen third. With under twenty minutes remaining and Vettel was now second on the soft tyre. Verstappen was third followed by Gasly and Magnussen. Leclerc was down in sixth followed by Hulkenberg, Norris, Sainz and Raikkonen tenth. The Williams drivers were 17th and 19th as the session came to an end.

Robert Kubica:
Robert was first out for Williams running on the soft tyre but he would be presented by spots of rain. But he would continue his run and would set a 1m:30.942 to be briefly quickest. But he would drop down the times only to improve on his next lap with a 1m:24.768. Robert would improve with a 1m:22.447 as he continued to lap the circuit. A 1m:22.148 from Robert with his currently eighth but only nine drivers have set times. Robert would pit after a nine lap run and would get out of his car to talk to his engineers. With just over forty minutes remaining Robert would return again but like George was on the intermediate tyre for a a single lap. He would return this time on the soft tyre. He would set a 1m:20.779 to be 0.5 behind George. He would improve with a 1m:20.484. A further improvement with a 1m:20.322 and he would pit after a nine lap run. With just over ten minutes remaining Robert would return for what would be a longer run completing eleven laps and pitting with the end of the session.

George Russell:
George would also come out on the soft tyre for his first run. He would pit without setting a time. With ten minutes completed George would return again on the soft tyre. But after a single lap he would again pit. With an hour and twelve minutes remaining George would again return still on the soft. But again he would pit. With just over and hour remaining George was back out on soft tyres but again he would pit. George had completed eight laps without setting a time. With just under fifty minutes remaining George would return this time on the intermediate tyre for one lap. Forty two minutes remaining and George was back out again on soft tyres. George would set a 1m:20.734 to move ahead of Robert by 1.4 seconds. George would improve with a 1m:20.322 to be 0.167 behind Albon. A 1m:20.236 from George followed by a 1m:19.985. Now George would set a 1m:19.649 with 13 laps on the soft tyre, now ahead of Stroll and Giovinazzi. George would pit after a fourteen lap run. George would return for a final run on new soft tyres and it was a longer run. he would complete ten laps as the session ended.
