It was with a tinge of disappointment that this site viewed the session times from the 2nd free practice session at Melbourne today, with OrangeArrows drivers Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Enrique Bernoldi in 19th and 21st place. The only saving grace is that they were running on full fuel tanks. Rain threatened throughout free practice today, and eventually decided to fall just over half way through the second session. This gave the grid a unique look at the Albert Park circuit under wet conditions - a rare occasion.
OrangeArrows had an encouraging first session with Heinz-Harald Frentzen putting in 13 solid laps to record the 7th fastest time. Enrique Bernoldi managed another 4 on top of his more experienced team mate, and was only 4/10ths slower in 12th.

For the second session it became obvious that the team were running with full fuel tanks as both divers sank rapidly down the order. The rain half way through the session, effectively ended the timesheets battle as the wet conditions made it impossible to improve the times. In addition, Enrique Bernoldi suffered a gear selection problem halting his car on the track. This will mean that Enrique still has work to do tomorrow in order to catch up with his setup programme.

As a result it was no surprise therefore to find OrangeArrows 19th and 21st at the end of the second session. In his press statement Heinz-Harald Frentzen warned the fans not to read too much into todays timesheets from Melbourne. "It's not a good idea to try to judge our competitiveness by today's times," he said, "We really have to wait until tomorrow for that."

Strong, confident words ? As Frentzen says well have to wait and see.
