OrangeArrows made a surprise appearance at Barcelona on Monday, with Enrique Bernoldi doing the driving duties. The team were not scheduled to start their sessions until Tuesday, and this appearance is a good sign that the team are serious about making up for lost pre-season testing time. Monday's session got off to a late start with early morning fog shrouding the Barcelona circuit until 10:00. This prevents the emergency helicopter from flying and for safety reasons the session was delayed. Unfortunately the fog left the ciruit damp also, so the teams present had to be ceative with their test programmes in order to make use of the damp track.

Enrique Bernoldi didn't take to the track until the afternoon, when the circuit ws completely dry. Throughout his 16 laps, the rear wing which was the subject of 2 failures last week in Valencia stayed in place. Although the Brazilian only completed 16 laps he led the 'best of the rest' with the second fastest time of the day, about 1.6 seconds behind quickest man Jarno Trulli in the Renault.

Testing at Barcelona continues today (Tuesday).

The times from this morning at Barcelona are:

P. Driver Team Tyre Laps Time Gap
1 J Trulli Renault M 47 1:19.479
2 E Bernoldi Arrows B 16 1:21.155 1.676
