Heinz-Harald Frentzen seemed pleased with his new toy after his first test for the OrangeArrows team in the new Cosworth powered A23. The German driver admitted that the car needed to be developed, but gave a feeling of optimism about the feel of the car considering it is brand new. "It (the car) needs a bit of work," Heinz-Harald admitted to Formula1.com after the first full session for the team yesterday.

"It really doesn't matter what the car is like, it was important for me to get familiar with the car and with the people. All the ingredients are there, the engine is good, the car itself isn't bad.

"We have to do something with it. I don't know how long it will take, for me it started so late but there is no point in hurrying things up we just have to consistently try hard. I can't tell much from driving today only, I have to learn to work with them and they have to learn to work with me and the rest will come in due course."

OrangeArrows team boss Tom Walkinshaw, was also pleased with his team's new challenger, and added, "The sun is shining, it is a great day! It was a good start, the car is already quicker than last year's car. It had lots of fuel on board and it was on old, controlled tyres. It was just where I had expected it to be so it was a reasonable start."
