New sponsor waiting for a decision on Verstappen

Waiting on Jos

Trust signed up as a sponsor of OrangeArrows late last season, & joined the list of team sponsors that have allied themselves with Jos Verstappen. In response to an enquiry from this site, Trust say they have not signed up for 2002 yet, because they too are waiting for a driver announcement. In response to a tip-off from a Dutch visitor this site contacted Trust to ask whether they knew anything about Jos Verstappen's situation and whether it affected them in any way. Trust were also asked whether they had an influence over the decision, and how they would feel if Verstappen were passed over for another driver.
"Trust is, in the first place, sponsor of Jos Verstappen and therewith sponsor of OrangeArrows," Arjan Schreuder, from the PR & Communications team at Trust replied. "When OrangeArrows would decide to confirm his driver position in the team, then it would indeed increase our sponsor possibilities. This goes not alone for Trust, of course."

Does this mean that there are other (Dutch perhaps) sponsors that are also waiting on the team to make a decision ?

"Regarding your question about the confirmation and the Frentzen situation, I am afraid Trust can do nothing but only sit back and wait. This is something between the team and Jos Verstappen. Trust has nothing to say over whether Jos should stay in the team or not."

In other words Trust as a sponsor seem to be in exactly the same position as the rest of us. Waiting for a decision and unable to influence the outcome. This site has tried to prise some reaction from OrangeArrows with the Jos Verstappen Fan Campaign, but to date with no luck.

Trust, like all Jos Verstappen fans, want the decision to go the Dutchman's way. Schreuder's summing up sentence put it very well, "let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!"
