I would agree with the player rating. Last week I felt like Joseph was poor, because he wasn't giving everything he has got, due to the title ' pre season, but this week, in a game where pretty much every player had a decent showing, and in a match that individuals wanted to play for a 1st team spot, Joseph lacked pace and didn't show us what he's made of. I would agree with Bri, Roko is are best 13, at the moment. JJ just looks a tad out of form. But, I suppose sometimes we can get a bit carried away. Not sure about ' she pony', Bri!!.... But yes, Eastmond and Joseph still to start in the premiership. Or Joseph warming the bench and Semesa playing 13. Who knows

Roko on the wing for me, he could be our player of the season if he keeps improving!

Btw did anyone see Banners sidesteps! I really hope for a strong season from him.

Pretty much agree with your numbers Bri but thought Wildon put himself about in the loose, about time Lancaster gave him some gametime.

I think we need to give the new lads some space, must be a big thing moving clubs & it will take some time to settle but for me I think we've made some very astute signings.

Roko and Strings were Golds signings & they've fitted in brilliantly

I'm a Banners fan big time but he got side stepped a couple of times, its his major fault he has the turning circle of a Jersey Juggernault.

Gilbert stood out for me. Good signing from last year.
So pleased for Roko.
Another good find and relieved we signed him up last season

Thought we played soem execllent rugby - rusty to start with but enterprising, which i hope continues into the Prem!! On ratings, agree with the Stringer comment, should not be starting for me. I thought Weber had a good game around the park and in the scrum, but would mark him down for his lineout throws. Still needs to work on that aspect - lost 2 or 3, and Prem teams will target him mercilessly so we end up only throwing to the front / middle which will constipate our midfield (again). Otherwise v. impressed with Ford, Gilbert excellent, also thought Kyle looked really sharp in both attack and defence, and hope the knock he took was not serious. With Bendy, Fearns, Louw, Ryan C, Nelson, Guinazu, Young, Josh and Gav to come in I think we have the strongest squad for ages and am really looking forward to the season.Roll on Falcons!

Yes I agree we have a great squad but its all about having a great team.

Problems in the first half were down to forwards not releasing the ball early enough for the backs to use it effectively. Not really Stringer's fault.

Words were had at half-time, apparently - and the tries followed.

Lesson for pack: there's no point only giving the backs the ball when the drive has been slowed to a standstill.

We kept our same team in the second half to start with and Ospreys made a whole lot of changes do you think that had something to do with it?
Lets not bury our heads that was a second string Ospreys Team and the boys need to up it again in the premiership and I believe we have the squad to do that,we are heading in the right direction but a long way to go.

I must have been watching a different game. It was that lack of enterprise that gave them their try.

Definitely a pattern emerging in Bri's analyses: good things are opposition's mistakes, bad things are selection errors on our part.

Stuart all my mates last night said the same our centre partenership is not working,I'm not say they are not good players clearly they are.Roko is the man to play centre,he can tackle,he runs great lines and he can break the tackle.i can't fault him.

Rocko prefers to play, and is a better winger.

Think our centre we need is currently out injured.

Agree with Rocko starting at centre. He is pretty solid in all areas and has that ability to create something from nothing. A dual threat of KE and him, with Biggs and Bannahan lurking outside would be optimum IMHO for Friday.

Roko would be fine at 13, banners would be ok there as well. Jj will be fine there as well. 12 might be the issue, but I'm happy with Henson, ke and Williams.

I'm enjoying reading the conversation about who we get the number 7 shirt against Newcastle next week.

Gilbert or Mercer - fair enough.

Out of curiosity and I may of missed this else where but where is Carl Fearns? Is near match fitness?
