Worcester the opponents for season opener

The Premiership fixtures have been announced and reveal Worcester at Sixways will kick off the season

That's followed up with home games against unknown quantity Wasps and Saints, who fell off the pace slightly at the end of last season. A very tough last three games.

Blimey, we'll want to be in a strong position by the beginning of November won't we. Looks about as good a start to get some confidence going as its possible to get in this league. There are AIs about then which may draw the sting of Quins, Tiggers and Saffies.

Wasn't aware the opening round had been scheduled, but the Telegraph has our first game as a Friday night at Wuss.

August 31

Exeter Chiefs v Sale Sharks

Gloucester Rugby v Northampton Saints

Worcester Warriors v Bath Rugby

September 1

London Wasps v Harlequins, 2pm, live on ESPN

Saracens v London Irish, 4.30pm, live on ESPN

September 2

London Welsh v Leicester Tigers, 2pm, live on Sky Sports
